Welcome to New London Kiwanis!Thank you for visiting the Kiwanis Club of New London, Connecticut. Who we are... Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis is a service organization whose mission is "Serving the Children of the World". The organization was founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan and is now based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its original purpose was to exchange business between members and to serve the poor. This debate was resolved in 1919 when the organization adopted a service mission. The organization was for men only until 1987. |
